Florentine Waldau was born on 10 December 1876 in Reitwein in the district of Lebus and ran a well-known bookshop in Fürstenwalde. She designed postcards, some of which are preserved in the town’s museum. In 1935, she was still living with her daughter Regina at Eisenbahnstraße 52 (today: Eisenbahnstraße 144). In 1939, both women were registered at Wriezener Straße 12, in the house of the Jewish Kiwi family. The last trace of Florentine Waldau’s existence is her declaration of assets from April 1942.
