Wilhelm Kablitz was born in 1886. Because of his mental disability, he was forcibly sterilised and institutionalised. From 1936 to 1941, he was a resident at the Samaritan Institutions Fürstenwalde/Spree in Ketschendorf. As part of “Aktion T4”, a mass-murder campaign targeting sick and disabled people, he was put on a collective transport and transferred to the State Sanatorium and Mental Hospital in Bernburg on the River Saale via the mental institutions in Wittenau and Neuruppin. On 5 March 1941, he was murdered in the euthanasia programme’s killing centre.
