Kurt Flöricke lived in several sanatoriums, among others in the Samaritan Institutions Fürstenwalde/Spree in Ketschendorf. In 1934, he was forcibly sterilised in the Rudolf Virchow Hospital in Berlin; on 2 March 1944, he was murdered in the Hadamar killing centre in Hesse.
